This deviants gallery is filled with whimsical, romantic, soft and wonderful photography, each one speaks of a story using minimal effects and poses. This is just one beautiful shot, almost a fairy tale. Apples are such a powerful allegory.

Nice photo. Great composition. I like the dark green grass as a backdrop. I like the red apples in the basket and spilled onto the ground nearby. I *really* like the soft, summery skirt and the girl's bare and beautiful legs. Wonderful composition.

I can see why some interpret it negatively. The colors are a bit muted. And there is a sense of stillness here. However, it is not Snow White - there is no bitten apple. I may be completely off base here, bit to me it is a positive photo. It evokes summer and peace. A girl catching a nap on a lazy summer day after an afternoon of gathering apples. Perhaps a little a change in color balance could brighten it up a bit.
