Is it natural light?. The photo, is there any retouching?
If the photo is not retouched, and the light is natural, the place is beautiful and the opportunity was great. (Wow!)

I've seen trees with those colors in September here in Spain. Without the fog, but with these colors that appear in your photo.

In any case it is a beautiful picture.
